Hello there from the Fairyport Convent and welcome to 2025!
We've been busy working on this new EP, "Universes", which will probably be our last before a longer break.
The creative juices at Via Kosmische started flowing in more abstract/free-improv/noise/experimental/synth direction, and that is definitely not what our fans like to hear.
Of course, Adam has always been making a variety of music ("genres", a word he hates so much), and so, he will release it under other names/bands/projects.
We had a hard time deciding to release "Universes", as it features more synthesizers, drum machines, and abstract noise. "Universes" was originally part of the A.J. Kaufmann "Planet Goloka" album, but it was later decided that "Goloka" would remain strictly loner-folk, acoustic with FX.
And so, the latest FC EP was born.
We will be back when Adam feels more like doing rock songs, and maybe even writing some lyrics again instead of improvising them which was more of the usual starting 2021/2022.
In the meantime, there will be some rock on Herby Records in 2025. Justin wants to release Adam's "Herbapolis" EP on 10" vinyl. 'Herbapolis" is currently half-ready. We need 2-3 more songs, with the title track being a 9-minute+ mammoth.
We will keep you posted on this, and also on new Fairyport Convent music for The Swamp Records of course.
Fly on, be blessed!

New EPs Info / News.
Hey there Friends, Fans, and Followers of the Fairyport Convent!
Just a quick note to let you know our CDs are now sold out!
But, we have good news!
Three new EPs are now available from The Swamp Records!
Just visit our Bandcamp and download your favorite!
https://fairyportconvent.bandcamp.com/
There's a lot of things going on in the Adam Majdecki-Janicki universe, most notably playing with Bezkwit and PYRK and enjoying the early vibes of winter. The photo is from the last PYRK gig this year, at FARBY, the perfect Poznań venue for experimental music, and the shot was taken by Hugo Marcel.
Fairyport Convent will hibernate for a bit, but we will be back in January 2025 with a brand new EP!
This one is gonna be more psychedelic/experimental in nature. The sound will be enriched by synthesizers and primitive drum machines. Some of the tracks were meant for the new A.J. Kaufmann album, "Planet Goloka", but it was re-shaped to include just acoustic tracks, and so the seed idea for a new FC EP was born.
The track "Uncle Vlad", which sounds more like classic FC, is available now to listen from this link. Enjoy.

NEW NEWS we have NEWS
Hello there from the FAIRYPORT CONVENT on THE SWAMP RECORDS!
We have some news!
We have been busy recording and re-recording, and searching for the good stuff in our archives for the past two months.
So, after all the hard work, we now have 2 new EPs ready for release.
However, on October 19 2024 A.J. Kaufmann releases his brand new solo album, so our EPs will wait for their turn to see the light of day!
Here is something to sweeten the wait, a track from the 2nd new EP (we already shared "Acidsight" here):
And here's what the legendary Jerry Kranitz (Aural Innovations) has to say about Kaufmann's upcoming killer release:
"A.J. Kaufmann's world is strange indeed, serving up a set of ten psychedelic oddities. We've got acoustic guitar and vocal driven psychedelic folk songs bathed in atmospherics, wigged out psycho-folk freakouts, acid drenched space-time distortion, grungy garage-blues, and a noisy instrumental that sounds like an unearthed Faust basement tape track. File under totally trippy!"
Jerry has been supportive from very early on - from the Sauer Adler beginnings in 2012/2013!
Wait for the new A.J. Kaufmann album and follow A.J. at

Fairyport Convent - "Acidsight" (New Single, August 20 2024).
Hey hey, Fairyport Convent is back with a new single - we have released a new EP on The Swamp Records in August already, but we couldn't wait to share the new single with you - so we uploaded it to soundcloud. "Acidsight" is not on the EP - it will be on a new FC release later this year.
Recording "Acidsight" was a refreshing experience - we used the old Via Kosmische home studio setup, and recorded the track live, completely improvised, based on a little riff Adam wrote the day before.
We felt the old energy that fueled "EP1" in May 2021. Releasing this debut EP we would never have thought we would have 2 CDs on a great label like The Swamp Records by 2024. And both CDs feature artwork by Justin Jackley, our best friend who did the FC logo and many covers for Adam.
Hope you enjoy "Acidsight" - thank you for over 3 years of support!

"Almanack" (CD and Poster) by Fairyport Convent
FUZZY CRACKLINS and THE SWAMP RECORDS are proud to present one of the most talented (and prolific) voices in today's psychedelic music scene. FAIRYPORT CONVENT (A.J. Kaufmann) is a poet and multi-instrumentalist with books and albums spanning two decades. Beginning in 2021, the band has released an EP each month with a staggering range of psychedelic sounds, from 60s psychedelia to grunge and punk inspired music with plenty of experimentalism throughout. This album highlights one song from each EP. Enjoy the music! -- Fuzzy
